    Star Light

This is a very simple project that uses conductive thread stitched into some rope ribbon as an on/off switch. When the bow is tied, the circuit is completed and thus the light lights up, when the bow is untied there circuit is interrupted and the light is off.

Unfortunately I did not take an photos of the making of this example. But the basic steps were to cut out the star-shape from fabric and sew it together and then stuffing it. I attached the ribbon around the edges for decoration. Then I added a 3V button battery holder and a lilypad sewable LED light. Sewing the conductive threads from the negative sides of the battery holder and the LED light into the separate ribbons interrupts the circuit until the bow is tied.
