    About

Welcome to the KOBAKANT DIY Wearable Technology Documentation

This website aims to be a comprehensible, accessible and maintainable reference resource, as well as a basis for further exploration and contribution.

The site documents the range of wearable technology and soft circuit solutions that we have developed for our own practice since 2007. Many interesting techniques and possibilities never make it into a finished project. We wanted to share these as well as explore their possible use towards future ideas. The site also contains collections of material and tool resources and example projects that explain the integration of individual solutions for smaller projects, aimed at showcasing what is possible and how it is possible.

This database is maintained by KOBAKANT, a collaboration between Mika Satomi and Hannah Perner-Wilson. You can find out more about us here >> www.KOBAKANT.at

HOW TO MAKE WHAT YOU WANT was initiated during our joint research fellowship at the Distance Lab in the Highlands of Scotland. We continue to contribute our work to the database and appreciate the warm support we’ve received for this project!

Please comment on individual posts or email us with any feedback, questions, corrections, suggestions for improvement or changes. We would really like to hear from you.
