Symphonie

What is this – an orchestra?

Sixty digital string instruments form the setting of the piece in which power and discriminatory structures become visible. Equipped with their own instrument, each audience member becomes part of the orchestra. The orchestra is an analogy of our society: groups form, get loud. Who is heard and why? Who has a voice and who doesn’t? Who belongs and who is excluded?

Symphonie is an interactive/participatory theater production in which KOBAKANT collaborated with Director Anna Vera Kelle of Theater Strahl. It was funded by a JUPITER grant – aiming to raise awareness about theater for young audiences.
